decay
In addition to starting Death Guild back in 1993, and running the club on almost every Monday night in the intervening 13 (!) years, DJ Decay is also a favorite DJ at the club. He's done more guest spots than we can count, and can often be found spinning a set of his trademark favorite gothic/industrial/EBM/80s at various events taking place at the DNA Lounge - in fact, he seems to have made the house record for the most appearances there by a DJ.

DJ Decay can now be found touring the country and the world, opening for bands and doing guest spots at clubs everywhere - but he'll still be at the wildly successful club he started on most Monday nights if he can help it.

melting girl
DJ Melting Girl After graduating from UC Santa Cruz in 1994, where she had a regular monday night gothic music show on university radio station KZSC, DJ Melting Girl promptly moved to San Francisco and joined the staff at Death Guild. With musical knowledge and tastes covering the spectrum from pop to goth, from the 80's and before to the present, (but almost always very danceable) DJ Melting Girl wants to make you wear out the soles of your boots dancing to her sets, not only at Death Guild every Monday, but also at 1984 on Thursday nights. She also makes frequent guest DJ appearances at live shows and clubs like New Wave City, and has been actively involved in promoting many local events and live shows.

mitch
One of San Francisco's most underrated DJs by anyone's estimation - and in any genre of music - Mitch is a phenomenon, and the man packs an impressive set of skills. Tending towards lots of Industrial and EBM, when Mitch throws down from his own special brand of remixes and beatmatches, prepare to be both blown away and educated at the same time. This master student and teacher of sound can be heard and seen on Monday nights upstairs at Death Guild, and monthly at Meat. DJ Mitch

joe radio
DJ Joe Radio DJ Joe Radio acquired his DJ handle from his time spent working at Stanford University's KZSU. He was employed and involved there in one capacity or another from 1985 until 1995; from 1988 to 1993 he hosted a regular Friday night industrial music show, playing lots of great music and occasionally conducting on-air interviews with some of the best-known and most influential bands in the genre.

DJ Joe Radio signed on to the staff at Death Guild in 1997, where he's been found every Monday night since. In between the tracks of his crowd pleasing sets, you may often hear Ed's - er, Joe's - well-honed "radio voice" announcing upcoming events, giveaways, or perhaps just last call at the bar.

merrick
Born and raised in the SF Bay Area, DJ Merrick was a member of several area gothic bands in the late 1980's. She went on to work in radio as a DJ at KSJS from 1989 to 1991. Since graduating from San Jose State University with a degree in Radio, TV, and Film, she's been involved with several local clubs and has promoted numerous live shows.

A Death Guild regular since the early days at the Trocadero, she has been DJing there since 2004. Merrick balances things out upstairs with Mitch's more aggressive industrial sets; she plays mostly Ethereal, Gothic B-Sides, and from a vast repertiore of lesser-known "dark" sub-genres: neo-folk, dark ambient, militant, medieval, and neo-classical, to name a handful.
